"My subjects are viewed and composed with a sense of light, line, color, texture and form as the principles of visual arts as defined by Lazlo Moholy – Nagy and Josef Alpers. The images printed for this show pay respect to the culture and natural beauty of New York. The texture and form of these images determined whether color or black and white best convey the sense of time and place of the images’ story. These images are also available as platinum prints." "Over the last few years I have concentrated on capturing the urban and landscapes of both California and New York with an emphasis on design and form of the first half of the twenty century in particular. It is in deference to this time and the state of our art during this time that caused me to produce the platinum portfolio. I also present my art in large scale digital prints ranging in size from 20x30” to 34x51”." David McKenney |

All images are printed on hahnemuhle or harman matte or gloss papers as determined by a sense of faktura. All mounting and over matting is professionally executed using archival materials. All editions are limited to 6 prints. Contact Orange Line Gallery for more information and a complete portofolio of David's New York series. Please note that Dave's matted and framed New York series are now available at new, lower rates. These original images are practically being given away. Everyone from CNY and beyond should own one of these iconic images! The ones shown here, and many more, are available through Orange Line. Call or email the Gallery for an appointment to see Dave's complete NY library, or stop in and browse through his portfolio on view. |
