Calendar of Events This show has come and gone. Unfortunately, the landlord, Jim Monahan of Monahan Development (Syracuse, NY), has asked the Orange Line Gallery to leave the Coffee Pavilion. We are not going away, just moving to another location. The address will be revealed by late August. In the meantime, stop by the Orange Line Gallery tent next to the main stage at ArtsWeek, Jazz in the Square. The Form & Color Show Thank you for joining us for the evening reception, which took place Friday June 20. Unbeknownst to us, this was the last OL show in the Coffee Pavilion. With help from the James Taylor tribute duo, Secret O' Life, the staff and owners of the Coffee Pavilion and most of the artists on hand (along with Mel as our ador-able hostest) we celebrated! New featured artists included: And new work by past artists: This show looked at objects perhaps simply on the surface; like how beautifully light reflects off a piece of glass in a window, making the colors underneath melt into one another. Or one dove into the deeper meaning of the shapes and what they represented and how they made us feel. Perhaps, where we felt we belonged at any given moment. The work that made up this show ranged from the simple to the abstract, in style and thought. The Form & Color Show ran through July 3. As a complement to visual arts....live events during the week:
Monday is open poetry night starting at 7:30pm

Past Shows ICON opened to the public Friday April 18 with an artists' reception. Featured artists included: Meg Gentile- acrylic on canvas
All of the artists’ work represented in this show is iconic in some fashion, whether the subject is an object that is memorable due to its sweet form and function, or an actual person or place that is recognizable. This work is so special and this show is all about taking a moment to pay a bit of gratitude to people, places, things and concepts that make life good. Icons can range from very serious symbols to great colors or forms to the very material artists’ use to create. Forgotten Places opened Saturday February 9, 2008 at noon. Featured artists included: John Fitzsimmons- oil on canvas
The point-of-view of this show was places with an absence of people. Each artist conveyed their experience in a different and unique way from one another through light, color and medium. The results were absolutely breathtaking. The pieces ranged in size from small to very large formats and the subject matter covered natural landscapes to urban cityscapes in a variety of voices. Several of the pieces displayed in this show are still available through the Gallery. See the Art and Artist pages for individual work from each artist. Please email or call with inquires.

| “Pawcasso” an Evening of Art By, For and About Animals” Orange Line Gallery hosted a fundraiser for the Spay and Neuter Center of Syracuse on the evening of February 29, 2008. The event was a benefit for the clinic and all of the artwork was donated local artists, both human and animal. The work was on display beginning Monday February 25 and concluded with the silent and live auction at the Gallery. Orange Line Gallery donated space for both the artwork and the reception. All monies raised went directly to Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), a low cost spay and neuter clinic located in Syracuse. The clinic has altered over 2500 animals since November 2005. SANS is a volunteer based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to low cost dog and cat spaying and neutering for persons of low income in the Central New York area.
